From Garden to Plate

My summer was a major distraction from the blog, and several readers mentioned that I’d gone quiet.  My son became a bar mitzvah over the weekend and my life is mine again.  In other words: I’m back!

This summer we planted a beautiful vegetable garden in our backyard and it has been a fruitful harvest.  We’ve been enjoying fresh salads from the garden nearly every day.  My chef advice is to throw the recipes out the window for fall salads and be resourceful with the fabulous produce you find in your own garden or farmers’ market.

There is something truly satisfying about growing your own meal a.k.a. “from garden to plate.”
